Kelly Lee James. Recording Artist and TV Host. Kelly was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on May the 20th 1958. He and his folks lived in Dallas Texas until he was 5 and then they moved to a farm near the little town of Oswego Kansas. That's where Kelly grew up and started playing the guitar at age 12. His Uncle Harold taught him his very first chord and it was'nt G or C but it was D7. His uncle Harold had a funny sence of humor and maybe that's where Kelly gets some of his funny side. Kelly started playing on stage at age 16 in 1974 and formed his own band called Coyote Pass. Kelly is now based in Joplin Missouri where he is the host of the TV Show Kellys Kountry Junction. Some of the guests have been Miss Leona Williams, Barbara Fairchild, Ron Williams and Miss Amanada Cramer and to many great singers and performers to mention. Tune in on PBS now in Springfield Missouri at 9:30 pm. Channel 26. Debut will be May the 7th 2011. The producers are working to get the show in your area also so if you don't get it now then they hope to get it to you real soon. It's a 30 minute show of Country, Bluegrass, Western Swing, Gospel Music and Country Spun Comedy.
